We're making a change to the book club. We've come to realize not every title we select appeals to every member, so we're giving you the chance to choose which books you want to read and discuss.
So, we're proposing a trade - you provide us with your insights on the topic at hand, and we send you a free copy of the selected book.
With
each new selection, you'll receive an email with a link to a short
survey based on the topic of the book - simply complete the survey and we'll send your book. Easy. And, as always, we'll share the results here to provide insight into how your organization compares with others, as well as HR and talent management trends you need to know about.
And if you're not interested in the book, simply pass on the survey. You can always participate in the discussion here at TalentGraffiti.com and you'll continue to receive the blog newsletter - so you'll always know what we're talking about here and what books are coming up for discussion.
LOOK FOR YOUR SURVEY INVITATION WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19TH.
We're starting with our latest book club selection, Brand From The Inside, by Libby Sartain and Mark Schumann. We LOVE this book, think you need to get it, read it, and discuss it here.
It asks the fundamental question, "Can a business build an effective brand identity if its employees don't buy into it?"
In Brand From The Inside, Libby Sartain and Mark Schumann, branding experts who helped to build employer brands at Southwest Airlines and Yahoo!, describe the secret weapon of employment branding for your business.
As Dr. John Sullivan, professor of management at San Francisco State University describes it...
"Employment branding is on the frontier of strategic HR thinking because no other 'people strategy' has a greater long-term impact on recruiting and retention. This book should just be called 'The Answer,' because it provides a compelling case as well as the required steps for utilizing internal employment branding to emotionally tie workers to their employer. It is simply the best book on internal employment branding, period!"
So, watch your email for your survey invite and take a few minutes to share with us what your organization is doing to build a strong employment brand. We look forward to your insights and a great discussion on this critical topic.
As always, let us know what you think by adding your comments below.
